You all know I'm a big ALIAS fan, so I couldn't pass up seeing Jennifer Garner at the premiere of her new movie, the Kingdom. Luckily, I had the day off. Leia was kind enough to go with me to capture whatever we could on video or pictures while I tried to get autographs.

We parked ourselves infront of Diddy Riese and stood next to this annoying lady that Leia said she wanted to punch. She didn't do it. Instead, we screamed for Jada Pinkett-Smith to come our way. We also got to see Will Smith, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman, Jeremy Piven, Serena Williams, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner. Forgot to mention, there was a guy there, splitting image of Jason Segal. Leia and I both started to yell out his name when he turned towards us and we realized, oops, it wasn't him. That would have been really cool if it was him.

Poor Sake!

Sake started acting super strange earlier today. I've seen him act like a little "scaredy cat" before, but this was exorcist crazy.

First, he had the shakes, seizure-like tremors, moving his extremities in the air while on the couch. Then, he became really calm for a second and then suddenly really restless. Then, he walked kinda funny around the family and dining room and peed on the carpet, which he normally does not do.

So, I took him outside thinking he still needed to pee. Suddenly, infront of our neighbor who was doing yard work with his three dogs, Sake repeatedly started to throw is whole body, head first onto the pavement, head-first with extremities outstreched, basically belly-flopping on the ground.

WTF! With concern, my neighbor asked if I needed help and told me I should see a vet. That behavior was freightening him, and he's a dog trainer.

Jason came home from work early and took him to the vet. After lab work and tests, they diagnosed Sake with a...

Lower Urinary Tract Disease or LUTD: an infection of inflammation of the bladder and/or urethra

Signs and Symptoms of LUTD: urinating in inappropriate locations (YES), frequent or painful urination, strong-smelling urine, excess licking of genital area (YES)

-if untreated can lead to urethral blockage and a build up of waste in the pet's body

Signs and Symptoms of urethral blockage: inability to urinate (POSSIBLY), straining or pain that may resemble constipation (POSSIBLY), depression (POSSIBLY), abd pain, difficulty walking (YES), vomiting (OCCASSIONAL), crying and restlessness (YES)

Diagnosis: based on s/s, exam, urine tests, blood tests and x-rays

Treatment: antibiotics, dietary modifications; in serious cases- urinary catheter, IV treatments, surgery

Back in college, we did these spoof commercials for our PCN. I was going through some old video tapes and found the old Bud commercial with my old roommates from 916 Veneto. Aww, Xavier was just a baby back then. I've got a bunch more videos, but I can't play them 'cause my Hi8 camera doesn't work. Anyway, enjoy this one.

Bike Posse

Bike posse rolled out on Labor Day, September 3rd to Venice and Santa Monica.

It was a beautiful, sunny day at the beach, a welcome respite from the intense summer heat. After we went biking alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver we went swimming and had lunch at Ate Cyn's brother's apartment complex in Marina Del Rey.

What a great Labor day!
