the V-Dub club

I've been with family all week, all of them. We could have opened up our own day care center with the amount of kids we had in one place. I even found out that another cousin is pregnant again with her third baby. She's the one on the right with the white jetta. They're in town from Vegas with their two boys. My cousin, Marc had been trying to take this photo for a long time. We went to my uncle's "ranch" near Ojai to take the photo.

Crazy Antonio's.

Obituary

Randy M. Duran, 36, a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend died in a fatal car crash on April 21, 2007 at 5:15am in Oxnard, CA. Randy immigrated to the United States from the Phlippines in 1991 and lived with his family in Oxnard until his death.

Randy worked for a semiconductor company in Newbury Park for several years. As a sports enthusiast, Randy enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, particularly Michael Jordan paraphernalia and shoes. He also enjoyed watching baseball and basketball, but his greatest pleasures were spent enjoying the company of his adoring family.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle and three children, Trever, 6, Mikaela, 3, and 2 month old, Rachel. He also leaves behind his parents, Antonio and Fe and Jaquelina and sister, Winnie.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my cousin, Randy and his family. Take care of yourselves and be safe.

Lessons from heaven:

1- Listen to your body and take care of it. It will warn you of signs of danger.

2- Do not take off you seatbelt while the car is in motion.

Ride 'em

We spent Easter at the beach where it was super cold, but fun. I had to share this photo of Tyler is in Sake's basket. When my parents ride the tandem, sake sits in the basket.

We've had four adults on the bike at one time before. I missed the photo op of my brother riding five people.

Trick or Treat

I went down to San Diego last Saturday to visit my cousin and her newest baby girl, Raeline. While we were down there, Sheena and I took my dad, aunt and uncle to buy Pilipino foods and stopped by Valerio's bakery. Sheena and I were soaked with the smell of Pilipino food all day and decided to wait outside of the store. A black man and woman walked throught the door and stood in line. A little while later we saw them leave. Then my uncle came outside and stood near us.

Me: What happened?
Uncle: (Chuckled and tried to contain himself) I'll tell you later.
Me: (Amused but puzzled) Okay.
Uncle: I think I want to return my order.
Me: Why?
Uncle: (Waved me to move away from the door and windows then said quietly) There was a Cockroach.
Me: (Sourpuss face) Ewww!
Uncle: The girl at the counter yelled, "Dad! Dad! Come here! Kill it!" With his bare hands he just killed it and said, "Why did you not just kill it?" then walked back to the kitchen without washing his hands.
Me: Ewww! Gross! That's why that couple left.
Uncle: I don't blame them.

Wash your pan de sal, people...or just wash your hands, please.
