A few of us got to go to the opening reception. Not pictured are Kay, Fernand, Joe, Riann, Jason, Randy (Rachey's friend), Andrew and Steve.

Jason and "the Man"

In 2003, comic geek and Alias geek, AKA my brother, Jason and I went to Comic Con for the first time. We had no idea what this event was going to be like. FYI- It's madness. Anyway, while moving about and walking around outside we glanced up and saw Mr. Stan Lee standing on the corner looking like he was waiting for a ride. Why wasn't he surrounded by his adoring fans? Where were the fanboys? We had no camera, no comic for him to sign, so we got his autograph on the event program. Not really memorabilia, but still proof we met "the Man."




Jason got his other chance to meet "the Man" at Pat's opening reception.


Here he is actually shaking his hand. That's his bald head at the bottom of the picture.
