Sleepy Patties
Fun highlights from the weekend:Paul Frank/Stussy sale at El Rincon school in Culver CityKudos to Racheez for knowing about it. She gets a star and a best shopper award. Special mention to Randy. He gets the best big brother award for buying more clothes for his little brother than for himself. Really, he just couldn't find much he liked for himself.
Congratulations to big winner of the sale, Mr. Joe De Los Reyes! In the Rex Naverette voice, "What size is your panty!?! Rex, what size is YOUR PANTY!?!"
COSTCO with friendsGrandma Kay got so excited. She'd never gone to CostCo with friends before.
Why else go to CostCo on a weekend? For the free samples, of course. Duh!
Sleepy Patties and SojuI made my 7 layer dip and Pat made his now infamous sleepy burgers.
SOJU with mango juice!
Soju's effect on Kay: In Grandma voice, "I feel relaxed." Shaking her fingers in the air, "My fingers feel numb." A few minutes later, "My forearms feel funny." Here she is doing her impression of the Pussycat Dolls' walk from the Button video.
This is what happens after you eat one of Pat's burgers, ZzzZzzZzz....ZzzZzzZzz.
Lakers vs. Suns: Game 4What an exciting game that was! If you'd like to see that game-winning shot again, check it out
here. Sorry, James. You lose.
Good times. Good times.

I see London. I see France. I see someone's underpants.
I won't say who, but somebody left something behind in the bathroom.
Hahahaha! Sorry, dude. I had to. I've done it once before, too.
That's not as embarrassing as my brother's girlfriend's story. I hope she won't mind me sharing it. For my brother's 21st birthday, the ENTIRE, well almost the entire Antonio clan went to Tahoe for the weekend. As we were packing up to leave and doing our last minute checks of the cabin, someone noticed what looked like little kid, hello kitty underwear in the bathroom. He went around the cabin looking for the owner, the different households packing up and evenutally to the families that were already ready to go in their vans. Picture Rex Navarette's skit on his underwear size in Mervyn's. "Rex! Rex! What size is your panty!?!" Well, that's what my cousin or uncle, I don't remember who, was doing with this pair of panties. Trishia was one of the last to get ready and finally realized that they were her panties. She was so embarrassed. We had a big laugh about it.
Moral of the story: Clean your stuff up. Otherwise, your unmentionables will become mentionales. The End.
What the... !?!
Oh, no they didn't! That's all I can say about last night's 100th ALIAS episode.
In any case, I'd still like to say
Congratulations to everyone involved with ALIAS. You've changed the game of television and introduced the viewers to strong, indepednet, kiss-ass females.

Review: Shopgirl
Gwen's movie review of
Shopgirl, a film based on the novella by Steve Martin and starring Steve Martin, Claire Danes and Jason Schwartzman
Mirabelle (Danes) is an aspiring artist working behind the glove counter at a Beverly Hills department store when she meets two very different men- Jeremy (Schwartzman), a socially inept guy who doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and Ray (Martin) a wealthy entrepreneur who has the world at his feet.
Shopgirl is a love story. I love love stories. It's quiet, sutble and touching. Beautifully done, elegantly executed. I laughed out loud, giggled and smirked as well as welled up with tears. One of Claire Danes' best work. I give the movie 4 out of 5 stars.
Want to see the cutest thing?
This is Tyler John "Kokoy" Santiago, age 4 on his dirtbike with training wheels. Oh, like father, like son.
ALIAS' 100th
Wednesday night, ALIAS is back for it's 100th episode. Chad Darnell, a casting director on the show says the episode is like "Alias: The feature film." Also back are Bradley Cooper who plays Sydney's best friend, Will Tippen and Gina Torres who plays Sydney's rival, Anna Espinoza.
Check out
this fight scene in a French club where Will was being interrogated and discovered that Sydney is a spy for the first time.
Magic Night
Look who's in trouble. It's Daffy Duck.
He's on Time-out.
Nah, I don't know what the heck he's doing. It just looked funny to me. The kiddies took pictures with bugs, tweety and daffy. When they were done, their host/escort, or whatever you call them told the characters to put their heads on the wall. Maybe they were going to tip over? I don't know.
I was a chaperone for the kiddies at church last Friday night for their annual Hallelujah Jubilee. Church groups are offered discounted prices for a night while Christian bands perform inside the park.
Funny how we were there on a church outing when we had a little celebrity siting, The One Who Sees God...on TV. We were on our way up the little hill that goes up to Viper when I heard Sheena scream my name behind me. She said she saw Joan of Arc. I asked, Joan of Arcadia, Amber Tamblyn? She said jumping up and down, yeah that's her. I turned around and went down the hill to find her. I didn't know what I was going to do when I saw her. I just wanted to make sure that it was really her. I think it was.
Anyway, the night was fun. Kiddies enjoyed themselves. The oldies, myself included were pooped at 10pm. While they rode Goliath, the hommie, Bill and I chilled on the Carousel couch and rode it 10 times in a row. Meanwhile, Sheena went to her car and slept.
Can't hang like these kiddies anymore.
Saturday, had a Day-O-Fun for Bev's birthday at the park. Another example i'm getting old, my body ached as I walked up and down the work stairs. And my arms feel pained and are covered with petechaie, lttle purple-pink dots on my forearms from playing volleyball. It was fun to play again, though.
Waterballoon are always fun. Waterballon fights are always better.
The Benchwarmers- Fantone, Leia, Kay, Randy, Anna and I went to watch Tin, James, Pat and Ja play ball. Check out our team photos on
Anna's Blog.I love how we amuse ourselves.
Later that night, Leia, Fantone and I went to Ate Cyn and Gary's Engagement party. Who here has ever been to a real engagement party? Not I, nor Leia or Fantone. There's usually an announcement of the wedding and then the wedding. No in between. Party was fun, a precursor of what the wedding will be like. Loved your casins. Ate Cyn's cousins made up songs, a la Cile all night long.
Yay! Finally!Later, later that night...salami or was it pastrami on frech bread at the apt. After work, Seong brought over some yummy bread dessert.
Who wants to move in?
Whew!
I don't want to ruin it for those that haven't watched it, but I gotta say LFO, Lena-Freaken-Olin ROCKS! I love her and I hate her. I love her and I hate her. Where have you been!?!
Also, BOOBSPLAT! Hahahahahahahaha!!!
Oh, and BTW, I loved how rache called during commercial break, melissa and bev forgot and need to borrow the tape, anna and leia texted me and pat and kay checked up on me as I watched in my room. Love it!
It's on!
Here are some fun ALIAS season 1 bloopers. It's back on tonight at 8pm on ABC!

My name is...
We've been going to Kay & Dave's for taco tuesdays for quite some time now. Food is good, drinks are good and dollar tacos. Can't beat that. I guess other people found out about it, too 'cause the bar was full at 6:30. So, Rach, Randy and I decided to go to Bourbon Shrimp for their happy hour. Again, we were shut out, no parking anywhere and valet was full. What's going on here and what do we do? We brought up tito's and the empanada place. Randy, who says he never makes eating decisions decides to go to Honey's Kettle. Mmmm...biscuits.
I know my name isn't very common, but most people have heard of it, right? I've gotten Quin and Wen before, but never Kuan. Hahaha!
Sin City during Holy Week
Spent last week in Vegas, not gambling and drinking, just babysitting, eating and shopping.
After work last Tuesday, I sped home to get ready to eat Manna for Bev's birthday and pack for my one-way bus ride to join my cousins, Sheena and Mia Vegas. Crazy, huh? I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend the week with the Vegas fam.
James and Cile dropped me off at the bus station. Quite an experience. Bus stations seem so final, so send off-ish. To add to it, I bought a one-way ticket. I found this amusing, there were individual TV's hooked onto the chairs at the station that worked on $.25 per 15 minutes. Of course I had to try it. Later felt bad. I could have given the money to the homeless lady next to me instead. Oops.
I left the Greyhound station in downtown around midnight and hoped to sleep all the way to Vegas. At around 3:00am, I was woken up by a sudden stop and gasps with low grumbles of "Oh, my God" from the other passengers. I turned to the direction everyone else was facing and found them looking at another Greyhound bus, not on highway 15, but OFF highway 15, it's passengers surrounding the bus. My first thought, "Crap! Now I have to go out and help." I don't know what happened. The bus was on the other side of the highway in a diagonal position. When we got there, it was backing up into the proper position to let people back on. I would have taken a picture, but I didn't think I could have gotten a good shot. The bus driver got back on and cautiously continued driving to Vegas. Arrived at 5:00am and waited for Sheena and Mia to pick me up at the downtown Las Vegas Station.
Got to my cousins' house to find out they had EIGHT kids. I said, EIGHT KIDS? What eight kids? Marc and Denise only have two. Turns out the kiddies also wanted to spend spring break in Vegas. Spent most of the day in a daze, still tired from the day before and sleep deprived. On our way to the Hawaiian Marketplace, Denise touched the Budda's belly in hopes that her third baby woule be a girl.
Joy Luck Club was on and after Sheena said, referring to Ming-Na, "She makes me want to have Chinese." So, we had chinese buffet. All I did on this trip was eat. For dinner, we drove to Summerlin for Islands. The next night, Roberto's. No carne asada fries, but still, good Mexican food.
The Kiddies were something. In the car, they'd sing to songs I hadn't even heard before. Makes you think when 5, 11 and 12 year-olds sing "Get it right, get it tight," do they know what they are saying? Did we know what we were sining when we sang "Push it, push it real good?"
My other big kid cousin, Markie on his son's drum set.
And him trying on his new pair of Harley sunglasses.
I didn't spend the entire time playing. I brought one book and opened it for a few hours. It was...open. Alright, kick my a$$. Anyway, thanks for the Moose Call, Markie and here's to praying for a girl, Denise. Thanks for always letting us crash your place.
it's almost time
Gonna go all fangirl on you right now.
I'm SO excited! I'm SO excited! ALIAS returns this Wednesday and I'm SO excited. I haven't really had internet access this whole week and since I've been back, I've seen some interviews and small snipets of all alias stuff and it's getting me excited. There are pictures of Vartan on the set chatting with Jennifer, JJ's hanging around set and rubbing off some of his genius and everyone, the entire cast is saying it's going to be ca-razy. LOVE it. So, this fangirl would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Birthday to Jennifer Garner who turns 34 today. You kick A$$!
high school reunion
Went to Oxnard State Beach, aka Mandalay Beach Park and needed a warm jacket for the cool Easter air and found my old high school letterman in the closet. I saw Chris wear his '06 jacket to Sunrise Service and and thought it would be cool to represent Oxnard's class of '96. Wow, ten years? Anyone going to their high school reunions?
something new
Hahaha...look what I found, a new flavor =).

Have a Harley good time
I am not a biker chic. I just pretend to be one...twice now. I was in Oxnard for a kiddie birthday and asked my cousin, John if we could ride his new Harley Davidson before the party. John is a big kid. His license plate on his first truck was "KIDZTOY." This is his newest one.
The last time we went riding, we took his speed bike on PCH to Malibu and rode with Mia, her boyfriend, his friends and Sheena on their bikes. This time around, John wanted to ride down PCH to check out our apartment in LA.
It was relaxing and therapeutic, almost. For an hour each way, it was the wind in your face, sun in the sky and pretty wonderful things to see. It was also really fun and loud, too. Kay and Pat said they could hear us turn the corner on Veteran and Palms. Would I ever get one? Nah. Well, if I could afford one, I'd consider it. In the meantime, it's just fun to play.
Hahahahaha! Thanks, John!
