It's Thursday. When did that happen?

I'm just bored at work again and when I'm bored at work I'll either actually do something productive like stock our med room with syringes, tubes and stuff, or I'll sit here on the computer and browse the world wide web.

One of my favorite sites right now is www.howstuffworks.com. If you click on the site, it'll tell you how alcohol works. Basically, and we all knew this, alcohol turns your brain off.

I looked up fevers, printed it out and gave it to a patinet who went "ahhhh," as in light bulb moment.

Interesting stuff.

You know you're addicted to LOST when...(Fill in the blank)

...you enter your patient's room to fix the IV and look up at the TV only to suddenly plug your ears and turn away because LOST is just about done and is doing it's, "On the next LOST" bit.

That one was mine tonight at work.

Found others from others...

...you start giving your friends odd nicknames such as the ones from the show.. like freckles, or mr. clean.

...you take the time to learn how to say Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

...you play "the Numbers" in the lottery knowing that even if you win you'll only win a couple hundred bucks because everybody is playing "the Numbers."

...every time you write LOST on a website you write it in capitals.

...you have nightmares that the others will come and get you.

...when you stay up all night watching the first season on DVD. (Ummmm....yeah!)

And found more TV crack, Veronica Mars.

I always heard it was a really good show but never gave it a chance. It was on UPN, but is now on the CW and in it's 3rd season. If you liked the game, Clue or solving mysteries, then this is kind of a cool show to catch.

Veronica is a detective. She's witty, quick on her feet, clever and sarcastic. I don't think she can kick butt like Sydney Bristow could but she's close.

This season she started college and is trying to find out who is raping classmates while also solving other crimes she charges $500 bucks for. It's Tuesday nights at 9pm on the CW. I know, I know. I can already hear you. Damn you, Gwennie! Not another new show to get hooked on. =)

In Veronica Mars-related news, one of the writer on that show is creating another promising new show about girls with superpowers. It's being billed as, Sex in the City meets Batman.

How cool does that sound?
